Are you interested in obtaining Level 1 Rules of Golf?  The R&A Level 1 Introductory Rules School will be presented by the ILGU and GUI on Saturday 22nd April at Cork Golf Club.  The attached document gives further information on times, costs, programme and registration.  Registration is open from Monday 27th February 2017.

Youghal Golf Club Ladies Branch – Grab A Gúna Event Friday March 10th 2017

The Youghal Golf Club Ladies Branch will be holding a wonderful event on Friday March 10th in the Clubhouse – Grab A Gúna!!!

Do you have any preloved dresses that you no longer wear?  Why not donate them to our Grab a Gúna event.  You can contact any member of the Ladies Committee to donate, we will be in the clubhouse on the run up to the event to take your donations.  If possible please have the dresses on hangers.

On the 10th March we will open our doors for you to come along and have a wonderful night of shopping, with a selection of fantastic dresses and costume jewellery for you to choose from.  Bring your friends and enjoy the hospitality of our clubhouse.

We are planning a bumper raffle on the night and would be very grateful for donations of quality prizes from our members. Please contact Jane Coyne or Una Cotter if you would like to donate any prizes for this event. We look forward to seeing you all at this event, it promises to be a great night out!!

Below are details of the fixtures taking place over the Christmas period.  There are lots of opportunities for members to go out and play some golf over Christmas.  We hope the weather will be good to us and look forward to seeing lots of members out on the course and in the club house.

Monday 26th – Friday 30th December 2016

We will hold a 3 person Team Event Fundraiser, Semi-Open, members may invite a guest to play.

Entry for this event is:  €10, Re-entry €5, Guest €15

Saturday 31st Dec – Monday 2nd January

We will hold a 3 person Scramble Fundraiser, Semi-Open, members may invite a guest to play.

Entry for this event is:  €10, Re-entry €5, Guest €15

 
Friday 30th December Adult/Junior Competition from 12 Noon.

We hope members will take the opportunity to go out and play some golf with our juniors.  This is always a great event and great experience for our juniors.

Christmas Mixed Foursomes Competition Sunday 4th December

Christmas Mixed Foursomes Competition – Sunday 4th December 1pm

There has been a fantastic response the to the Christmas Mixed Foursomes being played this Sunday, 4th December at 1pm.  The draw has been made for partners in the Clubhouse this morning, Thursday,  names will be posted on the time sheets over the next few hours.  Make sure you check in to see who you’ve been lucky enough to be drawn with for this great event.  There should be lots of fun out on the course with so many teams playing, €5 per person for golf.  Format for this event will be the very popular Scotch Foursomes.

Pa will have his mulled wine available when you arrive in the club on Sunday morning and a delicious selection of hot food from the bar menu when you arrive back in after your golf.

Looking forward to seeing you all there on Sunday for the Drive-In at 12 noon and Shotgun Start for Golf at 1pm.

Santa’s Elves (also known as Mixed Foursomes Committee have been busy filling Santa’s Bag with lots of prizes for all those taking part)
